This is a BCE, essentially an early reprint. Once again, this is a Book Club Edition. This is NOT a First Edition/First Printing. This rare treasure has some clearly visible wear, but when considering its' scarcity and desirability, is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris. The binding is holding firm and tight. All of the pages are present and fully attached. Some general/shelf wear along with a previous owner illustrated bookplate, creases/marks/wear to the spine/corners/boards, marks/wear to the edge/fore pages and creases/marks/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear to the spine/corners/boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, and the wear that is present on the pages, particularly noticeable on certain pages. All of the wear previously mentioned is clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. As mentioned before, there is a previous owner illustrated bookplate! The bookplate contains the handwritten name of a previous owner and is attached to the front pastedown, (inside front board). The bookplate/area has been closely photographed for your consideration. The original dust jacket is fully intact but has considerable wear. Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, marks and rips resulting in some loss of paper. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges. All of the wear previously mentioned, particularly near/along the edges, is clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original BCE insert also has some general/shelf wear along with some very noticeable creases. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear. If more pictures are desired, no problem!
