This auction is for a vintage LOT OF 2 ROYCROFT BOOKS: "The Note Book of Elbert Hubbard" and "In Memoriam Elbert and Alice Hubbard"; and an ELBERT HUBBARD II LETTER dated 1933. The Roycrofters have been in East Aurora, NY since the late 1800's. They were part of the Arts and Crafts movement of the time, and created some beautiful artistic items using copper, leather, wood, pottery and more. The books themselves are made of leather bindings. The notebook was published in 1927, after Elbert Hubbard's death in 1915. Both he and wife Alice perished aboard the Lusitania after being attacked by a German submarine. In Memoriam was written in 1915 by Elbert II in honor of his parents. Of particular interest is a letter dated July 25, 1933 from Elbert II to a Mr. Welch. In the letter Elbert II continues to praise the works of his father and directs Mr. Welch to some inspirational passages from the Note Book. A very rare letter indeed. Selling all 3 items as one lot, mainly to keep them together, as they have been for nearly 100 years!

Item as described packaged very well this stuff was old and fragile seller had it packaged very good Used FedEx to ship that was a headache but seller communicated very well and contacted FedEx trying to fix the shipping issue can’t blame seller for FedEx problems Would buy from again👍

Arrived well-packaged and in good time, as described! I purchased while the seller was on vacation so I was aware shipping wouldn't happen right away, but they graciously notified me of the date when they would be able to ship it, and followed through on that. Great communication!
