Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the rare original 1971 A&M white label promo pressing of the self-titled debut solo LP by James Burton, famous for being Elvis’ guitar player and arranger, and one of the earliest true guitar virtuosos in rock and roll, on his recordings with Ricky Nelson. This is his solo debut, right at the time he was playing with Elvis, and including one of Elvis’ most famous songs, Polk Salad Annie, and also produced by Elvis’ producer, Felton Jarvis. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has a hype sticker that reads, “The solo debut album of James Burton—premier country and rock guitarist of the world. Friend and player to Elvis, Haggard and Jennings.” The cover has a bit of edge and corner wear, wjth a s 2” seam split at the bottom right and a 1.5” split at the top right. Not bad. Promo hole punched at the top left, and light ringwear and edge whitening in spots. Still quite nice and well cared for. This is truly a top original promo copy, very hard to beat.

Super fast shipping! Records were packed perfectly and exactly as described.. I guess I misunderstood the media type as I thought they were 12in records in 45rpm. They're actually 7in records in 45rpm. Kind of cool because I have a fancy 7in adapter I've been meaning to use. Common description error in the Vinyl world. Good value overall for amazing records. Love Ella! A+++ seller
