Directed by Poon Man Kit of Shanghai Grand fame, the big-budget production comprises 10 unit stories of two episodes each. Set in the mid-Ming Dynasty of China, the main story arc unfolds around the eponymous post house located in the Crescent Moon desert town, which provides temporary accommodation to travelers and passers-by. The owner of Dragon Gate Post is the resourceful Feng Siniang (Annie Man), who has been waiting for her husband to return for over a decade. The always-drowsy manager Shi Gandang (Gordon Liu) may look like a muddle-headed old man, but he actually hides a mysterious past that nobody knows of. And then there is the messenger Ma Dalu (Julian Cheung), who has been through lots of strange incidents and adventures on the Silk Road. Besides the core trio, the series also features a host of intriguing side characters portrayed by stars like Lam Ka Tung, Ken Tong, and Max Mok.
