Blayney Percival was published by the AMWELL PRESS in 1985. These are the fifteenth and sixteenth volume's in the National Sporting Fraternity's "AFRICAN HUNTING HERITAGE BOOK SERIES". A difficult set to find especially in this condition. ********************************************** The AMWELL PRESS is the publishing arm of THE NATIONAL SPORTING FRATERNITY founded in March,1976 by Jim Rikhoff. He was know and liked throughout the sport publishing industry as a result of his early founding of the Winchester Press. Because of his popularity with the industry he was able to get a who's who of international big game hunters and sport hunters as authors. The titles in the series would include original works by professional hunters, books by active sport hunters, anthologies that contained selections from both contemporary hunters and classic works and reprints of sought after titles. The titles are limited to 1000 copies or less with beautiful LEATHER binding's and SLIPCASE'S. These titles are all SIGNED by the author or editor or both and by Jim Rikhoff. In many editions you will find great PHOTOGRAPHS from the authors personal collections while in others you will find ILLUSTRATIONS from artists that capture the feel of the stories. ********************************************* A. Blayner Percival was a famous game warden in Kenya for a twenty-three year period during the first quarter of the Twentieth Century. His earlier work, A GAME RANGER'S NOTEBOOK deals with his experiences with lion, rhinoceros, buffalo and elephant in the Kenya Colony.
