Very Rare 1930's Little Orphan Annie Bubble Play Time Set No.025 by J. Pressman & Co Canadian Box T. Eaton Winnipeg Manitoba Tag on box bottom. Little Orphan Annie. Rare 1930's Little Orphan Annie Bubble Set No.025 by J. Pressman & Co. NYC. Comes in the Original (I assume) Canadian Box which is in great condition. One of the glass bowls is missing. Both of the pipes handles are oxidized. This set comes with a thin cardboard insert with 2 wood & metal pipes and 2 small pieces of soap shaped like Sandy the Dog, along with 1 small white & green swirled slag glass dish. In the 1930s, Pressman was one of the pioneers in the toy industry in licensing comic strip and film properties. In particular, the company launched a number of products based on Walt Disney’s hugely popular movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first feature-length animated film. Also in the 1930s, Pressman sold licensed toys based on Little Orphan Annie, a newspaper comic strip created by Harold Gray in 1924. I love the 1987 press kit which was packed very carefully in a paper folder and then shipped securely in an envelope labelled "Please do not bend" in big block letters. The item is exactly as described via the seller's words and clear photographs. The seller is great! A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
